My New Year’s Resolution

Why is that I am always swamped with things to do in the days leading to Christmas? Why do I always mismanage my time when I know this will always happen? It is so stressful. I guess I should make it one of my New Year’s resolution to avoid this mistake next year and the years to come.
I am supposed to taking care of the shipping to Chile thing that my husband and I discussed. He is Chilean and the rest of his family are still based in his home country. I was supposed to send this package (which contains the presents for his parents, his sisters and a lot of other members of his family) weeks ago so that it gets there in time for Christmas, but I never got around it. My husband knows how hectic it is here at home, so he is somewhat forgiving that I failed to do it.

My husband and I are still young at heart, even though we are in our late twenties. He is a stock broker and I am a teacher with very little free time, so we really like to let our hair down when we go on vacation. The vacations we take tend to be to places where we can have a fun time at local clubs or bars at night, and during the day we like to relax on beaches, or do fun outdoor activities. This year my husband has asked me to be in charge of picking out our vacation destination. I thought Ibiza would be the perfect choice, and I was right. At night we visited several clubs and many hip restaurants for drinks. During the day we relaxed on the beach, and we even had massages on the beach, too! We had amazing food, and experienced new food we had not tried before. We went snorkeling and diving, too.

My family has a very interesting way of finding out where we are going for a family trip. My husband and I will select the place and then we will give the kids clues so they can guess where we are going. Their first clue for this year was that they would be able to go swimming since we would be staying real close to the beach. The second clue was they could ride an elephant. The final clue was that they would be able to climb volcanoes. After that one, they all knew that we were going to enjoy one of the Bali holidays we had discussed prior to our decision. We all started learning even more so we could have a good bit of fun together while we were there. I am so excited that we are as close as we are, and these family trips make us even closer!

I recently visited a very special Grenada hotel. It’s located on the north coast of the island and is something a little out of the ordinary. It’s got 9 cottages and 2 deluxe rooms. Each of these have a view over the Caribbean Sea to the Grenadines. It’s really quite a unique place.
The owners actually built the hotel from the ground up. They purchased the land a couple of years back and have since created a Caribbean hotspot. Clients love to rave about the place, as you would see if you checked out their feedback on TripAdvisor. It really is lovely to see what a success they have made of the place.
The staff are friendly, the food is good and there are plenty of activities in the area. You can go walking, swimming or even take a boat ride over the sea to the special Sandy Island for lunch with a fisherman.
