Using today’s new and improved pressure cookers are so much safer than they were a generation ago. Models like the All American Pressure Cooker Canner have the latest in built in safety valves and automatic pressure release mechanisms that just weren’t around years ago.

You may even remember how loud these cookers were. I can recall my grandmother cooking with one on the stove as a small child. The whole thing was nearly frightening as it had steam pouring out the top and it rattled all the time. I thought it would explode at any second. Taking the lid off was another story. She would grab a huge towel to try and prevent getting steam burned as she removed the cover.
