During the summer months Europe has one of the best climates for camping. It is hot, but not unbearable and very rarely rains. For those backpacking in Europe, the challenge is to carry all your equipment on your back. Make sure you buy a lightweight tent and make sure your rucksack is big enough to carry everything in it. It is possible to drive to campsites and this is an attractive option if you have younger children with you.
